my ears are still ringing from all that noise

drumline competition. winter drumline ends next week and i don't know if i'll miss it, jump for joy, or not know what to do with all that free time.

our show is beethoven's sixth. it sounds a little something like this:
doo-ka-doo-KAT daka-uh-dakaka chika-chika-gat,
chang-zhang-chang-ka-dang-RANG
huzz-kacha, huzz-kacha
dookada-dookada-dookada-dookada zhuzhu-KAT
drr-drr-drr-drr-drr-drr-drr-drr
boom-KAT dakadaka boom-KAT
digadigadigadiga boom KAT
dugaduh doga-KAT
da-KAT
KAT
KAT!

[beethoven would be so proud. wouldn't he.]

    I sense sarcasm in that last statement. Being in the pit, i think i recognize the first two or three lines before i start ignoring what's going on behind me. Mainly bc if i did pay attention, i'd lose track of where i was XD
